I think the lace pattern is coming out nicely on yours. This particular stitch is just not what you first think when you think knitted lace.
Thanks for liking my colors! The colors are growing on me. Every so often I like to try something I wouldn't pick at first and I thought a scarf would be a good place to try. I'll probably love them by the time I'm finished.
I'm using the lace pattern as written. It looks nicer in the picture than in real life (I think) and the overall boucle effect started to take shape for me after a few inches. I was ready to pitch it after the first twelve rows because it looked so awful. I'm hoping that it looks good from afar, since no one but me will ever examine it up close. At least I hope so! :)
I think it's coming out very nicely! The colors look great and it looks like you really have the lace under control now. I'm starting mine soon, hope I have the same luck with the stripes working out.
Good for you! I'm glad you're alternating the dye lots. It's a pain, but it's more painful to have a beautiful FO look funny in the end. Can't wait to see it!
Hey, the scarf looks great! I've got to give mine another try. I'm so swamped in finishing things up over here that I'd put it aside. Now I'm thinking I put it down too soon. I guess I'll have to watch you all succeed and then play catch up!
Wow! I know the lace is sort of frustrating you, but from the picture, that scarf looks simply gorgeous!! Nice texture to it, and the colors are phenomenal.
You've also inspired me with your camera pouch. I have a digital camera with a little loop on the end, but I'm always worried I'm going to drop it/whack it into things. Looks like a nice soft pouch could be in order.
Anyway, keep up the beautiful (and inspirational) knitting! :)
