Someone in the Hopeful knitalong is using Fixation (well Elann Esprit) and really likes it.http://scottishlamb.typepad.com/the_scottish_lamb/2005/09/the_rumors_aren.html I love it for socks. This tank pattern is really popular at our shop. http://www.yarnmarket.com/images/FixationTank-CYPDK121.jpg
The thing with this yarn is that a little goes a long way. You can knit a tank from 3 skeins. You could probably sub it for any form-fitting DK weight pattern.
The "itty bitty purple polka-dotted tankini" from SNB Nation would make a cute tank top for summer minus the dots and with a few inches added to the hemline. Just a thought.
PS. love the 'Nippertails' hat.
I made this rowan halter as a tank with fixation and I love it. Just be careful when you wash it mine shrank in length quite a bit. http://www.knitrowan.com/images/freepattern/h4lt3rn3ck.pdf
The Sex in the Knitty edition has a pattern for "Mon Petit Chou" which is for stretchy yarn. It's a lacey pretty underwear set. If you're into that kind of thing!
"mon petit chou" from knitty (summer '04) uses cascade fixation, i've also seen few really nice "stripes go round" (Interweave Knits Summer '04) made without stripes using Elann Esprit, which is pretty much the same yarn.
The lasson is better than that lame 2 way walkie talkie shown in one of those patterns.

You, my dear, will have to design your own.

A pair of slouchy socks (aka legwarmers) like Japanese Schoolgirls wear.
It'd keep your legs warm in the winter...
Posted by freecia at October 5, 2005 03:32 PMHelloKnitty.com's Frida tank is awfully cute, and easy to customize with intarsia, embossing, or whathaveyou:

I think it takes 3 skeins. And I'll bet you could make a nifty long-sleeve t-shirt-style top with a basic top-down raglan pattern.
