How could you not love that stripey goodness? Those socks rule! I love the stripes in the raglan, too. As for the waist shaping--we all have a little va-voom in us. Never hurts to bring it out.
To rip or not to rip? Well, losing one week's worth of work is better than never wearing the sweater if you do not love the fit. But what a bummer! Love, love, love the socks! They are making me re-think my attitude toward pink!
