No problem - - it's not much of a pattern! Worst case scenario you'll get 3/4 sleeves, which would be a great shrug for spring. But it sounds like you should have plenty. Love the texture of that stuff!
cool socks and that yarn is fabulous. perfect shade of red and the texture makes me wanna reach through the screeen and grab it! that's gonna be one cool shrug.
I made the Paris Loop poncho from Magknits.com from my Softy--it took 4 balls. I knit really loose, you could start at the top and then when the yarn ran out its done--the pattern is super-simple and super elegant. I have worn the poncho to 2 weddings and a bumch of parties and everyone wants to touch it. And it is soooooooooooo non-sorority! so that gives you another option too.
