Holy Crap, Pickles!

A couple weeks ago, I got an email from Alison at Knitpicks. She wanted to let me know that a few of their employees liked my blog and they wanted to send me a present. Who am I to say no to a present? And I would have been soooooo upset if I had found out about this particular after saying no.

Pickle Package
So, Knitpicks is releasing a set of patterns for knitted Christmas ornaments. To promote this, they put a free pattern for a Christmas Pickle up on their website and are sending out little Pickle Packages. This is what was in mine:

A little bottle of cornichons. What you can't see is that there's a little plastic scooper thing in there to help you get your pickles. What a great idea! I know that I always end up covered in pickle juice when trying to get the last ones in the jar.

A copy of the pickle pattern, a ball of yarn in the correct colorway, and a suggestion for what you might want to do with your Christmas Pickle. Because who doesn't want a pickle with a moustache? Honestly, I almost peed myself from giggling so hard when I saw that.

Because, really...

... how could you not? I need one.

And then the cutest bit of all...

sad pickle.jpg

A sad pickle stitch marker. He doesn't want to be eated! Don't do it! This is by peanutga11ery1 on etsy. Adorable. I don't really use big stitch markers, but I'm thinking about turning it into a pendent.

So, yeah, a great present. And I'm kind of amazed at how well people know me that they would send me such presents I love so much. Thanks, Knitpicks! That was awesome!
