As an extension of this, I currently hate my jacket. It's a cute and warm, bright green down coat. Very nice, very nipper. Sadly, I'm so sick of wearing the same damn thing everyday that I can barely bring myself to put it on in the morning (and lunch, and evening, and night, etc, etc).
So I've been on a New Jacket, New Winter Wear kick. A little kick in the Winter doldrums' pants. Maybe a new coat will help me get through these next couple months. My answer? New cute coat and, soon, new cute hat. I've bought the hat, but it hasn't come in yet.
The jacket, though, that came in today:

Funnel-necked, peacoat-buttoned, baby-doll flared, wool-cashmere MARC jacket. Love it. With a mad, mad passion.
They're not great photos, but they're the best my little camera and my bathroom could handle this evening.
This ridiculous storm yesterday and the biting cold are not helping my Winter doldrums at all, and the cold is probably a little too much for my new, non-down coat. But maybe the thought of my new cute jacket will help kick my homesick ass into a more perky place.
If still a chilly place for a couple more months.
It actually kinda caught me by surprise, so I didn't have a post all set up and ready to go. I'm really excited though, because I have a design in this issue...

Meet Kerouac, my ode to hipster boys with their skinny jeans and nerdy tight cardigans. I have always had this thing for the button-up cardigan on men and was always sad there wasn't ever a good pattern for one. All men's designs are always made so over-sized and bulky or over-worked and not-masculine. So I made a fine-gauge, rugby-striped button-up cardigan that I love. And I hope you guys do too. This is where I ask you to support me and all designers trying to make a living on this crazy knitwear design thing and buy my sweater!!

Aren't these buttons fantastic? They're navy-painted crested-metal buttons. They were so chic and suited the sweater so well. They're available from MJ Trim.

Pockets! You know how much I <3 pockets. Everything needs them now. Seriously.

Also, I'm really excited to be working with the Twist Collective ladies. They're awesome in very many ways. Thanks Kate, Irene, Julia, Mary, Alison, MJ. The issue looks lovely and you've all been a pleasure to work with.
