Michelle made me something she calls an 'Al-entine to celebrate Al Franken announcing that he's running for Senate in Minnesota. There's all kinds of love there. She's a Minnesota girl, he hit on me in the IFC Theatre Cafe... Go, Al!! Win that race! Then I'll be able to say that *Senator* Al Franken hit on me in the IFC Theatre Cafe. How fabulous would that be?

Note to Self

Self, you're right, seed stitch is pretty. But just for the record, you need to know something. Seed stitch = the devil. You're a fast knitter... normally. But not so much with the seed stitch. However much time you think you need to knit something in seed stitch, double it and then double it again. In fact, no, I think we're instituting a new rule.

Nipper Design Rule #17 - No seed stitch. Yes, it's pretty. No, it doesn't curl. Shut up. Don't do it. Just say no to the seed stitch.

Hangover?

So, last night before Heroes came on, Cassie and I went for dinner at this bar. I was drinking my standard whiskey and ginger ale, and then there was this random guy who bought us shots. (Umm... hello? It's 8 o'clock. Who drinks shots at 8 on a Monday?) Anyway, I left a little more drunk than I should have and was fully expecting a bit of a hangover this morning. Instead, I woke up feeling *fantastic*. Oddly well. I'm in a better mood than I've been in in weeks. Weird. Maybe I've just been hungover for a couple weeks and this was the kick in the pants I needed? It's like I've just woken up from being half asleep. Half asleep for weeks.
