Crazed Knitter

I've decided that I have a bad combination of traits for a knitwear designer: lazy, anal and inexperienced.

Lazy, anal and inexperienced = knit, *rip, re-knit; rep from * until ready to kill everyone in the room OR yourself AND AT THE SAME TIME unable to even look at other knitting.

Lazy: "Measure? Who needs to measure? I know what my gauge is. This is fine. It looks a little short and wide, but I'm sure that's just me. Lalalalala."

Inexperienced: "I'm sure this is right. I mean, I took it from another pattern. I looked up the basic size standard & guidelines and that has to be right, right? ...right?"

Anal: "What? What is this? It's an inch too wide, that's going to throw off all my math. What the hell have you been doing? Rip that sleeve out and re-knit it. Plus that sleeve cap shaping is all wrong. It's going to be too poofy in that armhole. Re-work that math."

Lazy: "OK, I knitted this wrong the first time, so I'm sure to have gotten it right this time. Lalalala..."

Inexperienced: "Well, maybe this will do it..."

Anal: "NONONONO! This is not the look we're going for. I don't care that you've already sewn it into the armhole. Rip that shit out and do it again. And do it right this time!"

Umm... I think too many nights without enough sleep has made me a little crazed. I'm taking some time off from the deadline knitting for awhile. I can't stop designing stuff, but I can just do it for myself on my own time. No more staying up all night knitting for me. I just can't handle it.

But that means... Yeay, knits for me and knits that can actually be talked about on the blog! Yeay for blog fodder! Yeay for knitting whatever the hell I want!
