You know, this whole knitting for a living thing blows for blogging. I can't talk about what I'm knitting and since I've got deadlines creeping I can't really have a bloggable (is that how you spell that?) project on the side. So, I need to figure something else out to talk about. I have an end of the month deadline for something, but after that I'm taking a break from the designing. I'm not doing so well with the knitting on deadline thing. It's *so* not fun.
I think I may need this book by Maggie Mason (mightygirl). Maybe then I'll actually be able to post more than once a week. I'm not writing a serial novel, but maybe something else will grab me.
I had been doing a new cute YouTube video on Wednesdays and had one specifically planned for today. Except the problem with that is the last post I did was a Video Wednesday. So... we're skipping that today. Maybe that way, I'll have a post tomorrow too.
It's not like nothing's been happening lately. My hard drive died on my laptop, so I spent the entire weekend without a computer. I laid down a whole bunch of money to get it fixed. Painful, but necessary. I can't live without my compy! The Enter the Haggis show was fantastic. I danced my little booty off. I had a great time at the Buffy Sing-a-long Friday night, and Al Franken hit on me at the IFC Theater cafe. (Weird, and yet, totally fucking cool.) The Knit-Out was this weekend so I saw tons of people. Amy and Cari have good photos. I was working, so I couldn't really take pictures. You'd think that I'd be all about taking pictures considering the severe lust I have for this new little guy. I was totally planning on buying it at the end of the month. But considering it cost that much to get my compy fixed, I'm thinking it's not going to happen so soon. But isn't it pretty? I want it in the worst way. Melissa (get your blog together, lady!) had one at Heather's wedding and was totally talking it up.
So yeah, that's what's going on. Lots, I know. But, somehow, because I'm not actively blogging about it, it feels like this:
