Did you know I was moving? Yes, moving to Astoria to live with my friend, Linda. Those of you who have heard about my issues with my current roommate might have some idea as to how excited I am to be getting out of that house. But, believe me, I can't even begin to describe the elation I feel at being able to live with someone I actually like again. No more living with strangers for me. Ever.
But, yeah, I'm moving, packing, cleaning, etc, all in this horrible heatwave with no air conditioning. I wake up in the morning and I want to cry it's so hot. With that, I haven't been in the greatest mood for knitting or blogging which is why you haven't seen much of me lately. And why this entry is sort of half-assed.
I have been doing *a little* knitting... Seriously, just a little. And only on the train or at lunch. Air conditioning = knitting. No air conditioning = Jenn laying on her bed in front of the fan with wet clothes on saying, "I'm going to get up soon and pack up a box. Really. 5 minutes." But we're making a baby blanket for a woman at work and so I've been making squares. Not really inspired squares, because my brain seems to be as overheated as the rest of me, but squares nonetheless. It's something, right?
I move this weekend and there will be air conditioning soon. Perhaps someday after that I can again think about knitting and writing and doing something other than just being a lump. Until then... I don't know, maybe you'll hear from me. Someone send me a meme or something.
