Ekeby Vest

I've finished Tubey, but it's too damn hot to model it yet. Perhaps I'll get around to it this weekend. You know, break out the popsicles and cool myself down as much as possible before and after the photo shoot. :)

For my next project, I will make the Ekeby Vest in this yarn:

ekeby1

Isn't it lovely? There's a lot of yarn there... I think too much for this project, but I'll just have to make soemthing else with it as well. It's Schaefer Nancy in the Jane Addams colorway. I like the way the sweater looks in the self-striping Noro yarn, but I think it'll look pretty cool in the hand-painted Schaefer as well. Should be pretty interesting...

I'm still trying to figure out what to do with that Cotton Angora... I think I'm going to have to buy more yarn. I think I have a skewed view of how much yarn is needed for projects. 10 balls is enough to make me a sweater, but not so much for everyone else. I'm spoiled.

Mermaid Parade this weekend! I want to go, but it looks like rain. I'm not sure I want to deal with that. What do you think? Take the chance, or use the day to stay in my house and watch movies? Both options are kind of tempting. Sad, isn't it?

Banana Found...

... in a pile of sweaters on someone else's desk.

What?

Glad it was found now and not in a couple days. Rotten banana is a great way of ruining some sweaters...

Banana Mail

I'm losing my mind. I was packing up a box this morning for one of my pattern writers and accidentally packed a very important layout in the box. I tore my entire cube apart looking for afterwards, walked around and grilled people as to whether they had my copy, went through all trash cans in all the places I had been. Something clicked along the way that perhaps I packed my layout with the layout I sent my pattern writer... I ran up front, saved it from the FedEx guy, and felt like a complete ass. But at least I saved my layout, right?

How come I think the banana I lost yesterday will be showing up at another pattern writer's house today?

Brain. Dead.
