Swap Booty!

psbooty

I got my Booty Swap package last night. It rocks the house! Delly Bean sent me an *awesome* package. She made that cuff for me so that it would match my pirate cap. The bandages are on display at work. And the Pirate Devil Ducky has joined my collection on my TV.

This was the first thing I photographed. You know, so I could eat it while playing with everything else. That was some yummy, yummy chocolate. There's still some (a little bit) left. :)

She also made me a needlecase, complete with Jolly Roger. And sent me some very pretty yarn by a local yarn artist.

But one of the greatest things was that she also sent me a belated birthday present:

The Paperbag Princess. What a great story.

Thank you so much, Delly Bean! Arr!

I'm going home for vacation starting tomorrow morning (very, very, way too early tomorrow morning). I might post, but if I do there won't be so many pictures. I'm taking a lot of knitting with me, so I'll have lots of pictures for you when I get back on Monday. If you're in Florida, maybe I'll see you. :) Have a great rest of the week.

Voodoo Halter

This weekend I went to The Point to meet up for a little bit of knitting with friends time, but had a bit of a brain lapse while I was packing for it. I somehow managed to pack only enough knitting for about an hour. What's the point of that, especially when I'm not only hanging out at the Point for a couple hours and then going to Jackie's house for Buffy marathon? I, of course, had to buy more yarn.

My God, I am so happy I did. I only had US8 needles with me, so I needed something that would work with that. Sock yarn was out, I didn't want to buy yarn for Dulaan knitting, I have enough OSW's to last me awhile... What to choose, what to choose? I found Twisted Sisters Voodoo in Poppy.

I can't even begin to describe the way this yarn feels. It's the softest, loftiest, smoothest, and silkiest yarn I've ever worked with. I've fondled it before in the Kaffir Green, but could never bring myself to buy it. I would have bought the green yesterday, but they only had 2 skeins. I needed 3 for what I wanted to work on. So, Poppy it was.

Voodoo back

This is the back of a ribbed halter top that I'm designing as I go along. I have to wear this next to my skin; it's just wasted otherwise. You see how much knitting I got done yesterday; I just can't put this stuff down. I'm in love.
