Not woohoo for what I really want to woohoo for (job), but a big woohoo, nonetheless.
This was what I did this weekend... Yarn swappage and yummy food, eating and knitting with tons of knitters. I don't know why I didn't take more pictures, but I'm going to blame it on the chocolate croissants. That's a pretty damn good excuse if I do say so myself.
Here's what I've been working on lately. The boy wanted socks. Who am I to deny him handknit socks? The yarn is Lorna's Laces Shepard sock in the Pinstripe colorway. I've never worked with this stuff before and wow is it soft and yummy. What with not having a job and all, it's only taken me a week and a half to get this far. I just love the way the yarn feels, it's hard to stop working on it!
This is an amazing present from my Sockapal2za pal. She had last minute issues with my socks, so decided to make me something different. Sound familiar? She sent me this amazing lime Koigu and 4 little beaded stitch markers as a holding-over present until she gets the new ones done. Thanks, Mei! Now I'm just waiting to hear from my Sock pal to see when she got her little ankle socks. I also sent those out late and added a gift, but mine wasn't nearly as exciting as Mei's! I hope she likes them!
Also, the new MagKnits comes out this Friday. I've got a little something in there, so now you have even more reason to check it out!
