OK, so I made an unfortunate mistake with the toe of the lacey Sockapal2za sock. I'm not sure you can see it so well in the picture, but it's there. When I started on my toe, I didn't split the stitches evenly. There were more on the top of the sock than I used for the toe. I thought I would be able to fix it when I grafted the stitches together by just putting some of the stitches from the top needles onto the bottom needles. Boy, was I wrong. By doing that, all I did was put strange horns on both sides of the toe. A little weird. Normally, I would just rip the toe out and start over, but let me tell you something that *everyone* should know. Grafting lace-weight socks is the suck. I promise. I couldn't tell what stitches went where or what I was supposed to be grafting to what. It was a bad scene.
So, I have made an executive decision.
Sadly, my Sockapal2za Pal does not get lace-weight ankle socks.

I like this sock yarn so much. It's a discontinued color and I cleaned a store out of it because the colors are so beautiful and clear and lovely. I figure this will make a lovely sock for my pal. And it won't turn me into a raving lunatic as I'm trying to move on top of finish this pair of socks and my Mom's sweater.

Won't little ankle socks be so cute in this pattern!? I hope my Sockapal2za Pal won't be too disappointed.
