Wow. I totally picked the wrong weekend to go home to New York. There’s been such a good influx of knitters lately, and I missed most of them.
Last month was the Yarn Harlot’s reading at Lord & Taylor’s. Man, was I upset to miss that. The Drafty Ladies made a good showing, but they were missing their Nipper!
Then there was the Maryland Sheep & Wool… Not only did I miss that sheepy-goodness and all the bloggers there, but I also missed Norma and Rachel coming to town. Double grrrrr…
On the weekend that I did go, my Drafty Ladies Jackie Blue and Mindy were out gallivanting about Europe. Not only am I upset that I missed seeing them, but I’m also jealous as hell.
Now, this coming weekend, Pinku is going to be in town. How is it that I have to miss her! Argh! Not only am I going to miss meeting Kat, but she gets to go the Teva Durham book release party while she’s there. Teva Durham… party… Pinku… OMG!! This just isn’t fair.
I’m moving back in September and it’s not coming fast enough. I just can’t deal with missing all this good stuff.
... thy name is Nipper.
So… I haven’t been around lately, have I? I tend to disappear a lot, don’t I? I’m such a bad blogger.
Lots of stuff has been going on, so it’s not like I don’t have anything to write about. I just can’t bring myself to sit my ass down. I can’t figure out what that’s about. Normally, I’m quite happy to sit down and write about all the stuff that’s going on (or lack thereof, even.)
I think I’ve just been really busy and want to sleep in the little bit of time I get to be at home. Week before last I was helping friends get set up for their wedding. I was out until after 12 every night. That’s not really all that late until you think that I get up at 6:30 every morning to go to work all day. Hooo… I was tired. It was an absolutely gorgeous wedding and I was happy to do the work, but wow, was I tired.
Then, last week I was in New York. I was a cat all week long. I slept, I ate, I hung out with some of my Drafty Ladies, I saw the Boy a lot… and not much else. I did see Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, though. And let me tell you that I think I *need* a knitted Marvin the Paranoid Android! How come no one's pounced on that pattern like they did the dumb Martha Poncho? Hmmm...?
