It's like Christmas around here, I'm telling ya! My friend West's mom, Anne, is an antiques dealer. She knows how much I knit and when she found a huge cache of needles she snatched them up for me. Nice. They're mostly long, metal, straight needles. I don't normally use those kind, but they're very pretty.
I've got a lot of them in the mug I bought at Rhinebeck on display on my dresser. I should find a slightly taller vase for them though, I think it will look better when they're not so widely sprayed out. I think it's very pretty though.

Here are some more that I didn't put in the mug:

With a bunch of different sized stitch holders:

And a needle case full of other needles:

I'm so excited. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do with all the other needles, but I'm sure I can come up with something. I am planning on using some of those double points in the case. I needed some more small DPNs. Thanks, Momma! This is awesome!

This Sockapalooza Sock is just flying along. I've never had a sock move this fast before. And I love this yarn. I love being able to see the new colors as they spin out. I think I may need to find that argyle self-patterning yarn. That would be so much fun if it actually works. And if it actually exists. I've heard of it, but never seen it. I wonder how heels and toes would work... probably have to do them in a solid color.

I saw this at school today and got so very excited. I had no idea they made ice cream vending machines. Oh My God! When did this technological miracle occur?
Too bad it was empty.
I was going to say the coolest thing ever, but I might have died from the sheer groan inducing power of that pun. Completely unintended, of course.
Jenn's Amazing Technicolor Dream Sock

This is where we are on the Sockapalooza Sock. I'm surprized at how fast it's going considering how much time I've been spending on homework lately. That picture is not the best color representation, this is actually much better. Too bad it's blurry. I'm really enjoying this Sockapalooza.
Panda Bear Hat came screeching to a halt the other day 4 rows from the top when I ran out of yarn. I can go buy more yarn tomorrow, but what is up with this hat? It just doesn't want to be made. I *will* finish! It *will* be made! It *will* be a happy hat on Amy's head!
I just fixed the cable pattern for the boy scarf. The last row was all wonky and I somehow missed two rows. Oops. All fixed now.
Bear hat is almost finished and I started on my Sockapalooza Socks. I decided against using the Anne, because my Secret Sock Pal doesn't like variegated colorways. Instead I'm using a very cool Fair Isle type yarn in lovely blues and greens. Pictures soon. I should find something else to make with that Anne, though. Perhaps a light weight Clapotis? I will soon be the only Lady of the Drafty Table without one. That just wouldn't do.
