As she drools all over her keyboard...

A new Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban trailer has been released, although not officially. The Leaky Cauldron has streams of it. (Although now it seems that too many people are trying to see the trailer so they are having issues with the site.) I'm so excited, this trailer is really, really good. Sexy, snarky Severus Snape, Hermione clocking Draco, Trelawney as insane fruitbat, Ron being his usual scared (but adorable) self, Remus telling the kids about the Dementors. This is my favorite of the books and I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am about this movie. I've been up in arms about how the kids aren't in uniform since I first started seeing pictures, but after this trailer I can honestly say that I don't mind.

I've been put on the list of the Cardi Raye knit along, as you can see at the link to the side. I realize I've been working on this for awhile, but if there is a knit along going on while I'm working on something I should join, right? Thanks to Angela for adding me.

Mile Long Sleeves

I must say one more time, tall boys should not have sweaters made for them. This is the first of the mile long sleeves.

mile long sleeve

I'm feeling much better about these cables now that I have made one sleeve and started on the other. I didn't want to start straight into the hood, it's rather frighteningly difficult. But now that I have had some practice on the knots on the sleeves, the hood doesn't seem *quite* so frightening.

You may have been wondering about the red towel that has been making an appearance in the Rogue pictures. It is full on spring here in Florida, which means that *everything* is covered in yellow pollen. I laid down on the deck to take the picture of the sleeve and this is what my jacket ended up looking like. I promise it's normally black, now it looks striped yellow and black. I of course don't mind the pollen coating as everything is so pretty and green.

This is your brain...

This is your brain on Rogue. I feel like that old drugs commercial where they fry the egg to show "This is your brain on drugs." I swear to God, Rogue is going to make my brain turn to goo and leak out my ears. I can't decide if it was a good idea to start with the easy, simple cable up the side of boy Rogue or not. Pro: It went fast and I didn't have to begin with these "knit 1, purl 1, knit 1 into the next stitch" directions, so I'm half way done with the project now and don't want to stop. Con: I had no warming up at all. I've never done a V neck before and this one may just kill me. These cabling directions have me going crazy. I thought having done that DNA cable scarf for the boy, and the Julita sweater would have prepared me for this. Dear God, the pain!

OK, whining done. It's actually getting better, easier to understand, less painful. I no longer truly feel that my brain is going to leak out my ears. Saturday night, however, I was in serious pain. But it looks soooooo cool!

This is your brain on Rogue.

I went to see Secret Window and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind this weekend. ESotSM was amazingly good. I really like Charlie Kaufman films and this one was just as good as Being John Malkovic. But Secret Window was a big disappointment. I went to see it with my mom, who is also a big Johnny Depp and John Turturro fan. As good as both actors were, it wasn't enough to save a poor plot. I'm glad I saw it though, Johnny Depp is too sexy not to go see his movies. ;)

Eek! I now have ten minutes to get to school and I'm still in my pyjamas and my hair looks like this! Dear God!
