Well hello there, Strangers!
Wow, it's been a long time since I blogged last. Sorry about that. *Blushes* I had a good excuse, I promise. It's finally Spring Break, so I can now think about things other than how much I'm sucking in school. I just have to get through 1.5 more months, then I am free of Undergraduate school forever. (I have no illusions that I am finished with school, but I can get away from the Undergrads for awhile at least.)
So, Knitting... right. Isn't that what we talk about around here? Boy Rogue is coming along pretty well.
I've finished the pocket. I only have 20 cm past the pocket before breaking for armholes. Tall boys should not have sweaters made for them. He's probably not getting this until the dead of summer. I should give him a box with this and a fan and some Freezerpops. Only way he will be able to live through trying it on and modeling for pictures will be to crank down the air conditioning to "Arctic." :)
I don't have any in progress pictures of Cardi Raye yet, but I'm working on the sleeves. This is what the sleeves are supposed to look like, but that turquoise is not my favorite color. So, I split the rest of the Kiwi in half and tried to do the stripe pattern with the last of it. Luckily I had plenty. I will have pictures of it soon for you. I'm going to have so much of this yarn left over (in everything except Kiwi that is.) If anyone is looking to do Cardi Raye, I would be glad to send you my extra. I bet you could put together a whole sweater from two or three people's ends. ;) Either that or someone needs to do a swatchy blanket project a la Kerrie's Wedding present. As for the Hot Dog Socks, I've turned the heel on the first one. Like my artsy-fartsy picture? I was very proud of the way it turned out. The Boy says it looks like it's 6 feet tall. hehe. I'll take a picture of me wearing it when I finish it. It's chilly outside today, I can't go showing off bare toes yet. ;)
So, you know how excited I was about the weird Google searches I was getting? I got some damn good ones while on break. First was "Normal pictures of Androgynous." Wow, what are non-normal pictures of androgynous? And Androgynous what? Ducks? Next was "Androgynous Harry Potter." Poor Harry, not only are people trying to kill him *all the time,* but people are now wanting him to put on make-up and pose for porn. Look, look, it's Harry Potter meets David Bowie! But my favorite so far has been, "guy to like Jenn back." Who is this Jenn and why is she so hard up for a boy that she has to resort to a Google search? Poor Jenn. But, more than that, poor me! I was the first link on that list. I have no extra boys laying about. I have one boy to like me back, but that's the only boy I have. And I don't think he will appreciate being shared about.
